Impact when not meditating properly

- Wake up at 7.45am - Get ready to work - Recite Shri Ganesha Atharva Sheersha while driving - Breakfast in office - Start work The above has been my routine for the past few days.  Notice something missing?  Let's continue. - Boss raised voice unnecessarily - Boss say stupid things and mocking rudely - Boss demanding crazy things - Complained about boss to colleagues during lunch - Subordinate pretended to be hardworking in front of boss but played games on phone during office hours - Subordinate had long lunch and always came later to work although stayed nearby - Subordinate told Boss he will continue whatever he can't finish at home - Subordinate told me that he could do ALL the work without my help - Boss insist to share the job with subordinate, saying he can't cope - Boss say to take up the big portion of the work just because I left at 6pm sharp while the hardworking subordinate left later and work from home The above has been ...

Blog Thieves!

Today, I've found that someone stole photos from my blog and used it on his own website.  Although the website is a good web, filled with good info and I do believe this guy has no intention of stealing my photos but still, using my photos without crediting them back to me or asking permission from me is still stealing. Unfortunately, all my blog photos can be found on Google by just a simple search.  Well, I am not web literate, so I don't know a lot about coding and stuff. But common courtesy is still needed.  Come one brother, if you want to take one of my photos as reference to the topic that you wrote in your website, all you have to do is just drop me a comment and ask me.  Simple!  I won't say no for sure.  So, in order to stop my blog from being copied and pasted all over, I have protected it.  Now try to highlight the contents and right-click them.  Nothing happen right?  Yup. So, if anyone of you who would like to h...

Don't indulge yourself with unhappiness

I wrote a post few minutes earlier and it was full of unhappiness.  Somehow, don't know why, my cursor decided to go to the Close button and click and poof, the whole thing gone.  So, I guess, it's a message that's not meant to go out to everyone.  It's saved but I think it's not meant for you to read, so I deleted it. Well, yes, I was unhappy, and still am a bit.  But what's the point right?  Today I found really, that negativity is acting out again and it can pulls you down faster than anything.  I was not strong, I have to admit, and was pull deep into the trap.   There are so many unhappy people out there that I feel really insecure to walk out on the streets sometimes.  I don't know who I will meet.  It can be a thief, you can get scolded anytime, for no reason, strangers can be really rude to you, it's scary.  Coz unhappiness spells negativity and so on and so on.  Lately I find that so many people have no qualms in c...

Stereotypical

I have to admit, China people do not give a very good impression to a lot of people, especially to the Chinese people who are not from China. If you have been following my blog, you will find that many years ago, after a trip to China, I told myself never to step foot into China ever again.  Until I married a husband who is a pure Chinaman.  Fate! Since marriage, I have to spend more time in China and have been trying to understand my frustrations towards China and it's people. Don't get me wrong.  I am not racist.  You can't be racist against your own race, right?  I am a Malaysian Chinese, born and bred in Malaysia.  My grandparents were from China, migrated to Malaysia seeking greener pastures. My maternal grandfather was married to an older Chinese woman before he left China for Malaysia.  I heard in the olden times, it was customary for a family to get an older woman to look  after their children and match them for marriage, ...

Discrimination

Yeah, the title is not that great.  Ever since I got matched to a Chinese guy from China, this word has been popping out a lot more frequent and I realised that we do have a lot of discrimination against a lot of people, whether we know it or not. I am a third generation of Chinese origin, born in Malaysia.  In another words, I am Chinese but a Malaysian.  Growing up in Malaysia, we mingled with other races a lot, especially the Malays and Indians.  Everyday in our life, in one way or another, we have to deal with them, whether it is paying to an Indian cashier or ordering from a Malay waiter or getting Chinese credit card sales rep bugging you, to us Malaysians, seeing another race is very common. We do have some racial differences which I feel we should all appreciate and understand each other's culture and tradition instead of discriminating. At my work, I have Indian and Malay colleagues, as well as Chinese colleagues.  We work together, share our differe...

Marriage is more important than Wedding

After blogging so much about wedding planning, it's time to emphasize that the marriage is more important than the wedding.  Some people have grand weddings, but ended up divorce.  So, to me I feel, what is most important is the Marriage, how both people learn to live together, how both people learn to ascent and work towards a successful marriage. I was a little tired from wedding planning, tired of being bothered by relatives and fed up of accommodating to people around me.   I find a Chinese wedding is more for show, more for relatives and for my parents, rather than for the newlyweds themselves.  To me, a Sahaj wedding is more important and is more meaningful.  Every single step, every single mantra has its significance.  It's such a beautiful and auspicious ceremony that it will bring tears to my eyes.  I love the mantra sang by the late Dr. Arun Apte at the beginning of the ceremony, where the brides and the grooms yet to meet each other, with ...

Love Should be Your Rule

I found this in an old email of mine.  Thought it's really a short but good article.  I don't know who wrote it.  It's so true and Shri Mataji always tell us to love. Love  Should Be  Your   Rule If there's a single word you should live  your  life by, it should be this:  Love . It might sound corny, I know … but trust me, there's no better rule  in life. Some would live by the  rule  of success. Their lives will be stressful, unhappy and shallow. Others would live by the  rule  of selfishness — putting their needs above those of others. They will live lonely lives, and will also be unhappy. Still others will live by the  rule  of righteousness — trying to show the right path, and admonishing anyone who doesn't live by that path. They are concerned with others, but in a negative way, and in the end will only have their own righteousness to live with, and that's a horrible companion. ...

The phases in life

Being the eldest in my family, I grew up feeling fearful.  Each step I take, I feel I am leading the way.  Be the first to try new things.   I was scared of the future.  My parents were too busy with work and they can't tell me what step I have to take.  Going to school was fearful, stepping into the class for the first time was horrifying.  I kept telling myself that there's always a first time.  But I was very scared, shy, timid and fearful.  Now when I think back, I feel it will be better if my parents had prepared me in advance, telling me what I have to go through, how to deal with things, rather than for me to experience and experiment.  Then I became close to my cousin sister.  She was one year older than me.  So she will take the first step then she tell me what's its like.  I felt relieved sometimes.  I was very dependable on her.  Until she passed away when I was 21.  I was lost and felt that now I have...

This is just for fun

I am very happy today.  Got my appraisal done and it is much better than I have expected.  So don't mind me while I post silly things here.  Something that is not related to Sahaj and it's just for fun.  I got this from the CNN website.  So here goes: Pick Your Prince Keeping your castle in good shape - Nate Berkus, Designer featured in Oprah. Cooking his way to your heart - Jamie Oliver, definitely. Singing you to sleep - hmmm....I only like Lat's.  Really can put you into a deep slumber.  Tried and tested. Picking out your wardrobe - Bernard Chandran (Malaysian fashion designer)?? Throwing the perfect party - David Tutera Balancing your budget and doing your taxes - hmmm....don't know.  Suze Orman will be great but she is not a prince. Perfect travelling companion - Ian Wright (it will be fun!) Someone you want to take home and meet the parents - Aamir Khan (want to give them a 'pleasant' surprise) He could play your ...

Why are you unhappy?

Found this interesting article on the net.  It's actually talking about Chinese people in China.  But I think it applies to us all, wherever we are. (From Chinahush.com ), Chinese people, why are you unhappy? What stole happiness away from Chinese people? Author Hei Jian visited 40 countries to seek happiness. A few years ago, University of Leicester social psychologist White visited over 80,000 people from 178 countries and regions and drew the world’s first “World Map of Happiness”. Surprisingly, the top county was Denmark. Denmark is a country of ice and snow, the southernmost latitude is still north of Heilongjiang Province of China (China’s northernmost province). And Denmark is also a high-tax country with 50%-70% of income tax. So why are Danish people so much happier than people of other countries and regions? He believes that in Denmark, although with a high rate of taxes, the Danish government is able to use the taxes on the people. The government ...

Learn to Love: How to Live Happily Ever After

I found this article randomly while surfing the net and found that it is quite an interesting articles, especially the part about arranged marriages.  Some of the titles are a bit racy compare to all the other posts in my blog, but hey, it's really an interesting article.  Taken from www.elle.com Learn to Love: How to Live Happily Ever After New research refutes love at first sight in favor of slow-burn romance By Carrie Sloan | March 26, 2010 10:00 a.m. Photo: Getty Images Raise your hand if you believe in love at first sight. Now, quick—lower it before anyone sees you. According to new research, that head-over-heels feeling we’ve all been swept up by at one time or another is likely to lead us seriously astray. Instead, say recent findings in the field of dating and mating, it’s the slow-burn attractio...

Significance of Navaratri

In preparation of Navaratri prayers, here's something for everyone to read.  Please note that these are NOT from Shri Mataji's excepts or Her speeches, but it's something from the internet.  Navaratri prayers will commence this Friday, 8th October 2010. Significance of Navaratri 'Nav' means nine. 'Ratri' is made up of Ra, meaning night and Tri, meaning the three aspects of our life: Body, Mind and Soul. So, ' Navaratri ' means giving rest to all the three aspects of our life, for nine days! The nine days of Navratri are equal to nine months a baby spends in the mother's womb, resting there. 'Ratri'(night) is a period where you are 'in rest'.We stay 9 months in our mother's womb, 9 months of rest and then a consciousness is born.It represents the evolution of the consciousness to a heightened awareness. In life, there are positive and negative qualities that affect us. Navaratri represents how the negativity can ...

Another story

Amazing things are happening slowly but surely.  I am truly grateful for all the presents I received in advance.  Thank you to you all and I love you all very much.  I am so blessed to know such good people in my life. ****************************** It's quiet and dark.  Dog barking can be heard in the near distance and it did not disturbed her.  She was still sitting down, enjoying the silence within.  Since the prayer, Kate has been withdrawing into the quiet world and enjoying every single moment of it.  In the silence, she can feel movements of the motherly love travelling from the bottom, going up each organs in her body and giving her a cool sensation.  Whatever blockages was relieved by the same motherly love.  Her heart was feeling a warm, innate joy that wraps her entire body with vibrations.  'I forgive, I forgive', Kate recited and finally she could feel the connection. While still in meditation, Kate saw a book of kno...

Jass a story...

Jass has been very unhappy with her life.  She blamed it all on others instead on herself although she feels guilty inside for not being happy.  She tried to be happy most of the time, but there's always something or the other that makes her unhappy again.  It could be anything.  From work, to people she just met, to things that she is not doing.  Nothing in her life makes her happy, nothing makes her satisfied.  She is always hoping for God to appear in front of her and tell her what's wrong with her, to tell her what lies ahead of her and how to be happy.  Tired and desperate, her last attempt was to completely surrender to the Divine. One day she was woken up by an elephant-headed-body-of-a-child personality.  He took her hands and when he opened her room door, instead of looking out to another hall, it was a beautiful garden.  He skipped and danced around the garden, smelling all the fragrant flowers and rolling on the green grass....

Why is it the grass is always greener on the other side? Why is it that every cloud has a silver lining but I can't see or find that cloud?

It's starting to sound depressing. I started blogging in 2005 (maybe even earlier).  It was an anonymous blog as I did not want anyone to know that it was me who was writing.  It was full of unhappy posts, complaining about life and it became a very depressing blog.  The reason why I started the blog was because I wanted to vent my frustrations.  Since I cannot do it in real life (no one knows I was depressed), I needed an outlet.  Some of you who have been following my blog will asked, "2005?  You are already a Sahaja Yogi since 2000.  Why depressed in 2005?" You know how a caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly?  The metamorphosis of life?  How the caterpillar goes into the cocoon and later the butterfly will need to break the cocoon (I think) before it can come out and fly?  Yup, I was going through that process of finding myself through Sahaja Yoga.  There were layers that I needed to shed before finding my spirit...

A poem from Rabindranath Tagore

I have a disclaimer

Yes, I copied it from here and was allowed to re-use it.  Sometimes I confused a blog with a diary, so many times I am writing to remind myself of my current state of mind and keeping a record of new discoveries.  I am not telling anyone off or lecturing anyone else but myself.  I may have written 'You' but it is only me telling myself.  Just read the well-written disclaimer.  Credit goes to the author of the disclaimer (not me).

Getting back in control - By Patsy Westcott

Taken from The Star Newspaper - Weekender, Saturday, 30 January 2010 If you often feel let down and hard done by, you may be trapped in the victim syndrome.   Here's how to rise above it and take control of your life. You've only to listen to the heartfelt wail of a newborn baby who's impatient for their next fed to realise we're all born with a strong will to survive.  But somewhere along the way many of us lose that vital survival instinct and become victims. It's easy to spot a victim.  She's the one who is always in the throes of some disastrous love affair.  She's the first to be laid off when redundancies are made.  If she goes on holiday, it's always her plane that's delayed. It's hard not to feel sorry for her.  But could it be her own fault?  According to psychologists, some of us are especially prone to the victim mentality - perhaps because we're brought up to put ourselves and our needs in second place.  Looking after ourselve...
