Memories of Sahaj weddings and marriages

Yesterday we attended the wedding reception of a Sahaj married couple.  Husband Malaysian, wife Russian.  During the reception, Sahaj marriage and the wedding procedure was introduced to yogis and non-yogis.   An Sahaj aunty who was beside me told me that she was personally there in Shri Mataji's house in Genoa when the checking vibrations for the matches were in progress.  She saw how the marriage committee filtered the forms according to age, height and occupation or interest.  Then after the match has been found, the forms were checked for vibrations by the committee.  Only 100% cool vibrations matches will be sent to Shri Mataji for Her approval.  I said, "Wow, that's amazing."  She said, "Yeah, that was in 2010 when Shri Mataji was physically there in Cabella."  2010 was the year we got matched and so I felt so blessed hearing this. Back in 2010, one day during the World Festivals Program, a yogi sister came to me and sha...

My personal views on Sahaj marriage

I was asked to do a session on Sahaj marriage at the recent Yuva Shakti Camp.  I didn't realise I had so much fun doing it until after the session.   I did a slideshow presentation on the wedding ceremony and added experiences from other couples, both Sahaj married and non-Sahaj married.  Before the session, I prayed to Shri Mataji to please let me speak of the things She wants me to speak about. To be honest, I don't think I am qualify to talk about Sahaj marriage, after being married for just over 2 years and started living together for 1 year only.  But when I started the slideshow, the words just came out from my mouth, and Shri Mataji was guiding me throughout.  I wasn't even feeling nervous and they all enjoyed the session, eventhough there was a lot of reading to do. Despite the huge age difference, from 16-29 years old, I am glad all of them were interested about this and I am glad to be Shri Mataji's instrument to disseminate this infor...

Sahaja Yoga Marriages

What do I know about marriages?  I have only been married for 1 year and 9 months.  I don't have enough experience to talk about it.  But I do feel, before anyone decides to apply for Sahaj marriage, please read up about it.  Understand the meaning of it, the values of it and the sanctitty of a Sahaj marriage.   A marriage is sacred.  So far, my married life has been quite an interesting one.  Everyday, there is something  new.  If you asked me, yes, I have married my soul mate.  But I only found out about it much later, through this journey.  Marriage is a journey of discovery.  And it takes two to make it work.  And in our case, it takes two of us to meditate together twice daily to make it work. Here is a list of audio talks by Shri Mataji about marriages: 1. Marriage & Collectivity - 5 Dec 1980 2. Establishing the Marriage - 9 Aug 1981 3. Marriage is Meant to Give You Joy - 29 Nov 1981 4. A wedding experience

On 2nd September 2010, the moment that I have been waiting for has finally arrived.  It was during one of the evening programs for the World Festivals, in Cabella that my name was finally announced.  A sense of relieve gushed through me and finally, I got it! Two months earlier, I have submitted the marriage application form.  From that day onwards, life was like a roller coaster.  Lots of thoughts.  'What if...??'   I thought I have prepared myself mentally, but when it comes right through it, I realised preparation was merely a word to comfort myself. I was excited and yet nervous.  I was happy and yet anxious.  The two months of anticipation of the event was much more bigger than anything that I had ever encountered.  Although I hid my emotions from the outside world, because it was a secret and I was too shy to announced, yet inside I was having a nervous breakdown every now and then. On my birthday that year, I received ...
