The Shakti Within

Since coming into Sahaja Yoga, I have always heard Shri Mataji spoke about being a Shakti.   The woman of the house ( gruhlaxmi) is the  shakti  o f the house. So in a way there should be a very deep oneness with her. When this gets disrupted then a woman leaves her wisdom and gets upset, and sometimes she can be like a bomb, will quarrel; by this a bad influence comes on the children and the society starts breaking. When society breaks then the children will break. All wrong things will come into them and they will go astray. And the discipline of the home gets spoiled. In the house where there is no discipline the children get ruined, the society gets ruined. - Excerpt from   New Year's Eve Puja 1997 If she quarrels and argues with everyone then she is not a  shakti .  Shakti  means that you can integrate with everything. The highest. Whatever happens you are above it all. Then you are the  Shakti , but if you got suppressed then you ar...

Anger Management

Q.: When we get angry, is our  anger  just our tendency to react like that? SHRI MATAJI: You see, if you get angry within yourself, and if you are sure that you are not doing anything wrong, for a Sahaja Yogi there is no need to say “outside you are angry.” There’s no need.  That  anger  itself is a power. And you should do your bandhan and anything that you want to do. But you should not show that you’re angry. You should be absolutely silent, because you can be, you are in the axis; you are not on the periphery. Actually the  anger  is just to see your  anger , and use that  anger  for that purpose.  And once you start doing that, that anger  will itself work out. That  anger  will itself work out the person. And you’ll be amazed, how it … But you must learn to see your  anger  that is working. All these things are important. You have seen that sometimes only shouting at the bhoots they go away, and man...

Sahaja Yogis Do's and Don'ts

The other day, while browsing through Amruta.org, I'd found this gem.  Sharing with you all.   Disclaimer:  As I only took out parts of the talk, please do read the entire text to get the full message and understanding or better still, listen or watch the video. Advice by Shri Mataji at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Question and Answers). Bombay (India), 22 March 1977 1. No smoking and drinking First and foremost things that a Sahaja Yogi cannot smoke or drink. One absolutely one hundred percent sure, because if you drink or smoke you will find after some time you either you’ll lose your vibrations or you’ll start vomiting. You cannot smoke. If you smoke your Vishudhdhi will be caught. If you drink your Nabhi chakra will be caught and whenever you’ll place your hand towards the photograph all the Nabhi chakra will be burning absolutely. So you’ll say, “What is this happening?” And you’ll give up. You sort of, many people have done it without any difficulty. They ...

What is love?

Love is transparent.  Love is subtle.  Love is joyful.  Love is truth.  Love is unconditional.  Love is innocence. Love is simple.  All in all, love is what love is.  Love is not complicated. Love is not about giving something to others but with conditions attached.  Love is not about money.  Love is not about status or reputation.  Love is not about what things we did or did not do for others.  Love is not about being fake or superficial.  Love is not about what the society can or cannot accept. Love is Divine.  Love is nourishing.  Love looks after us. Some of the above were taken from transcript of Shri Mataji's talk in Birthday Felicitations 2002.  It's filled with love!  Please check it out at w ww.amruta.org .

Truth

In 1984, in the UK, Shri Mataji did a series of Public Programs on The Experience of Truth.  She explained in detail, what is truth, how to recognise truth, transformation from truth and finally, enjoyment of the bliss of truth.  Do look up the full speech to read more about it: 22 June 1984, 2 July 1984, 8 July 1984 and 10 July 1984. "If you want the truth, I'll tell you the truth:  Listen to the secret sound, the real sound, which is inside you."  - Kabir Who are the seekers of truth? "So when I talk that the seekers of  truth , and I bow to you, I mean to say people who will be honest about it. Those who are not honest, who are just clinging on to certain ideas, are fanatic and think that, “This is the  truth ”, then I cannot help you. I can just say that come inside, within yourself is placed the  truth  and just find it out for yourself because it is your own, it is within you. It is your own, it is within you. Only thing is that ...

Connection with God

It's now between us and Shri Mataji.  Some of us seem to have lost the way, following the path of ego.  Some of us are distracted and going astray into the unknown.  Hearing more and more weird stories of people.  Before we start judging them, generalising this subject and assuming the worse, let's be reminded of Shri Mataji's words because in the end, it's just between you and Shri Mataji. "Main thing is your  connection  with the Divine, is only possible when you meditate and become thoughtlessly aware. That’s the point where Divine works, it helps you. It comes to your help in such way that you don’t know how you have achieved it. So thoughtless awareness is the first point all of you should achieve. Very important. After that, we can achieve something else, but the first step is thoughtless awareness. It’s very important to become thoughtlessly aware because then there are no thoughts coming from the left or right, from the (past) or the future. ...

Simplicity

Readers of this blog is getting lesser and lesser.  The last few posts, only 6-7 readers and that's probably include me.  I understand that the writing is getting less informative, which of course most people who came to this page were looking for.  But it's OK.  It's not like I have created this blog to attract readers.  I just wanted to share about my spiritual life and whatever else that came along with it.  Most of the time, it is just ramblings. Today I want to share about Simplicity .  Before I insert Shri Mataji's words, let me share about simplicity in my life.  There is none. Until I met my husband and learned that I am in fact a very sophisticated and complicated person.  Everything needs to be prim and proper, otherwise, I get confused or felt like things won't be good, etc.  In another words, everything has to be difficult and nothing is easy, in my world.  That's when I realised that simplicity is missing in my...
