Australian Yuva Shakti Field Trip in Malaysia - KL Leg

They were here from the time of our National Seminar, which is 25th June 2010 to 27th June 2010 till 11th July 2010, which marked the end of their field trip.  First to Seremban, south of KL and then to Penang, north of KL.  Then lastly back to KL before flying back to Australia.   I wish I have photos of everything but I only have photos of the waterfall day. There were 7 of them who came.  2 from Perth while 5 from Sydney.  The Seremban field trip started from 28th June 2010 to 30th June 2010.  Haven't got any details of the Seremban Yuva Shakti but I heard they went to Port Dickson, which is near the sea. From 1st July 2010 to 5th July 2010, they went to Penang.  Again, not sure what they did there.  Only news that I got from the Aussies were that they ate a lot of Malaysian food in Penang.  Food is always a priority on our list for any of our visitors.  Seafood especially. Then from 5th July 2010 to 11th July 2010, they came...

Yuva Shaktis

Finally, I get some free time to blog. Been really busy in this peak time. Yesterday, I have accidentally came accross 2 teenagers blog. After reading a few posts, I was wondering what is happening to this world because a phenomenon has hit Malaysia, and it has been happening gradually from the influence of the West. When I was in school, at that time the latest video game was Mario Brothers. I was of course, like the other teenagers, crazy about it and when my dad finally got me one, I was so stuck to it. Then there was the walkman craze, later was discman. Handphone craze only came about when I was in college. There was also no Astro, so we were stuck to TV1, TV2 and TV3 and for a short period of time, Metrovision. NTV7 came much later. My sister and I would record movies on the TV, especially during CNY when all the chinese movies will be aired, though it is not the most up to date. Then we will play these movies when we are free and watches them. We repeatedly watch these movies to...

Back from camp

Hi everyone. I am back from the Yuva Shakti Blast and have been very busy with work, Christmas presents and so on. I won't say much today, will post some photos from the Yuva Shakti Blast. Summary : The camp was wonderful. Everything was good and went well. Vibrations were tremendous. Too bad didn't have the chance to take photographs of the performances. It was SO good. Batik painting. With the help of Aunty KT, the Yuva Shaktis made 4 batik cushion covers and 1 batik table runner as a gift for Shri Mataji. The final product, before cutting it into cushion cover and sewing. Miracle photo. Accidental design on the mahjong paper that happened during the batik painting. Can you see what is it? Drawings done by the children during their ice breaking session. The winning Yuva Shakti T'shirt design.
