Positive vs. Negative

Today, I realised that negativity spreads much faster than positivity.  In this era, where dharma is lost and maryadas no longer followed, it's not surprising to see so much of negativity.  Sometimes, I do feel a bit helpless, that instead of spreading the positivity, I succumbed to the negativity.

I saw this on Facebook and felt it is nice to share it here.  Very true.

I feel that in every person, there is good and evil.  It is up to us to decide, which one we want to be.  But it is sad to see that evil is much easier to be than good.  Maybe because there is so much of evil in this world now, that it is becoming like a norm and thus everyone is doing it, like the saying, 'If you can't beat them, join them.'

It is sad to see that many people prefer to be evil than be good.  Let's have a look at anger.  So easy to get angry nowadays and today it is what anger that spreads so fast, from one person to another.  It takes a very strong person to stop anger from spreading, a person who doesn't react and just witness.  Therefore, the angry person will just stop.  It takes an even stronger person, not to succumb to the anger and just stay calm and collected.  And now anger is everywhere in the world, wars created from anger, hate crime, etc.

Love is what everyone need.  Love and compassion.  In Sahaj, to counter anger, first you must stay calm and not react and be in a witness state.  Identify which chakra that is giving so much of anger.  Is it an unsettled Nabhi chakra?  Is it a Vishuddhi problem, something that you should say but not saying it and just holding it up in the Vishuddhi chakra and when the time comes, you just burst out and say things you should not say?  Or is it an Ego problem, that you think you are the best of the best?  Shri Mataji said this, "If you have an anger, say for example which makes you uncontrollable, then there is a mantra for that: Shanti. Ya Devi sarva bhuteshu, Shanti rupena samsthita. You must ask for that bliss, for that peace. This is a mantra for you. For controlling your temper, you have to tell yourself, Ya Devi sarva bhuteshu, Shanti rupena samsthita. So Shanti is the point, the axis point is that from where you witness everything. You are in Shanti, you are in complete peace. You are not in a turmoil, even if you are angry. You are not in a turmoil. Whatever is angry is the power, and the power is taking charge. But unless and until that is achieved, what you have to do is to put yourself in a position that you are peaceful. So I think that's a very good mantra is to say, Ya Devi sarva bhuteshu, Shanti rupena samsthita. "

Shri Adi Shankacharya wrote the following.  If we are just the Spirit, not this mind, not this ego, not this body, but the Pure Spirit, we won't have the evil in us, because those evil things are useless to the Spirit.

1)I am not mind, nor intellect, nor ego,
nor the reflections of inner self (chitta).
I am not the five senses.
I am beyond that.
I am not the ether, nor the earth,
nor the fire, nor the wind (the five elements).
I am indeed,
That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva,
love and pure consciousness.

2)Neither can I be termed as energy (prana),
nor five types of breath (vayus),
nor the seven material essences,
nor the five coverings (pancha-kosha).
Neither am I the five instruments of elimination,
procreation, motion, grasping, or speaking.
I am indeed,
That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva,
love and pure consciousness.

3) I have no hatred or dislike,
nor affiliation or liking,
nor greed,
nor delusion,
nor pride or haughtiness,
nor feelings of envy or jealousy.
I have no duty (dharma),
nor any money,
nor any desire (kama),
nor even liberation (moksha).
I am indeed,
That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva,

4)I have neither merit (virtue),
nor demerit (vice).
I do not commit sins or good deeds,
nor have happiness or sorrow,
pain or pleasure.
I do not need mantras, holy places,
scriptures (Vedas), rituals or sacrifices (yagnas).
I am none of the triad of
the observer or one who experiences,
the process of observing or experiencing,
or any object being observed or experienced.
I am indeed,
That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva,
    love and pure consciousness.

5) I do not have fear of death,
as I do not have death.
I have no separation from my true self,
no doubt about my existence,
nor have I discrimination on the basis of birth.
I have no father or mother,
nor did I have a birth.
I am not the relative,
nor the friend,
nor the guru,
nor the disciple.
I am indeed,
That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva,
    love and pure consciousness.

6) I am all pervasive.
I am without any attributes,
and without any form.
I have neither attachment to the world,
nor to liberation (mukti).
I have no wishes for anything
because I am everything,
everywhere,
every time,
always in equilibrium.
I am indeed,
That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva,
love and pure consciousness.

Adi Shankaracharya

So, try to cultivate the good in us and not let the evil dominate us.  Stay balance everyday.  Have love for everyone.  Be joyful and not succumb to sadness.  Be in thoughtless awareness.  It takes some effort, but it is not that difficult.  Once you get onto it, you will be able to embrace it beautifully.  If everyone can spread the good, one day, there will be good over evil.

The other day I had a dream.  I woke up and these sentences were in my head.

Hope - is what motivates us to live this life.
Faith - is what sustained us throughout.
Love - is the only power that can change this world.

So, I hope that one day this world will have faith in the Divine power and let the Divine love spread throughout and change this world for the betterment of the society, for our children and generation to come.

Matka pot treatment - Night 1

I started the matka pot treatment last night.  Been feeling a lot of left agnya catch lately, so thought that it is high time to do a matka pot treatment.  Here is what we need: 7 limes (I heard in Belgium, they used 7 lemons, so the pot that they used is so big and they have a hard time trying to dispose the pot after the 7 nights).  Cut the top of the limes to expose a bit of the flesh. 7 chillies.  Remove the top of the chillies (I don't know what you call, stem or stalk).  I used small chillies so that they can fit into the matka pot. 1 matka pot (here in Malaysia we used claypot that they cooked claypot rice, glazed inside so that it will not leak) Vibrated water So, you put everything into the pot and vibrate in front of Shri Mataji's photo.  Pray that the matka pot will absorb all the catches and negativities.  Then place it on the left side of the bed.  I put it under the bed but you can also put it on a side table on ...

Information for pregnant Sahaja Yoginis

I have decided to gather all information for pregnant Sahaja Yoginis here.  This is probably not conclusive, so please feel free to add on if you have anymore inputs.  To read more about it, please go to amruta.org.   I guess the experience varies from individual to individual.  But I was very sensitive to vibrations and negativity when I was in my first trimester.  So much so that sometimes I have to do 2-3 times footsoak in a row in order to feel better.  But it gets better in the second trimester. As for havan, I was told that pregnant ladies can attend havan but have to sit far from the fire and don't sit too long.  This was advice by the Vashi doctors.  But my own experience, in which I attended one havan, I didn't feel good after that.  It's just my personal feelings about it as I was ultra-sensitive.  But I read some yoginis wrote that pregnant ladies should not attend havan altogether.  So, it really depends.  I ...

Sahaja Yogis Do's and Don'ts

The other day, while browsing through Amruta.org, I'd found this gem.  Sharing with you all.   Disclaimer:  As I only took out parts of the talk, please do read the entire text to get the full message and understanding or better still, listen or watch the video. Advice by Shri Mataji at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Question and Answers). Bombay (India), 22 March 1977 1. No smoking and drinking First and foremost things that a Sahaja Yogi cannot smoke or drink. One absolutely one hundred percent sure, because if you drink or smoke you will find after some time you either you’ll lose your vibrations or you’ll start vomiting. You cannot smoke. If you smoke your Vishudhdhi will be caught. If you drink your Nabhi chakra will be caught and whenever you’ll place your hand towards the photograph all the Nabhi chakra will be burning absolutely. So you’ll say, “What is this happening?” And you’ll give up. You sort of, many people have done it without any difficulty. They ...
