Wesak Day

It was Wesak Day on 28 May 2010 in Malaysia.  In India it is called Buddha Purnima.  Then during the collective meeting, we listened to Shri Mataji's talk on Shri Buddha Puja 1991.  It was a very powerful talk (which talk isn't) about ego.  I can't remember much now about the speech but I remember this line: Buddham Sharanam Gachami Dhamam Sharanam Gachami Sangam Sharanam Gachami Shri Mataji actually explains the meaning of these phrases in the speech which means: To Buddha, I seek refuge To Dharma (righteousness), I seek refuge To Sangha (which is Vishwa Nirmala Dharma), I seek refuge. It's not exactly Shri Mataji's words from the speech, just from my memory.  This prayer helps to remove the ego. It's best to read the speech, Shri Buddha Puja, 1991, Belgium.  If I am not mistaken, it is in one of the Divine Cool Breeze.

Understanding love

You know what is good about having a blog?  Sometimes when I am trying to think of what topic to blog about and I start to wonder what are the things in my mind and then I have some questions, like right now I am trying to decipher the meaning of love, then I will search for speeches, extracts, quotes by Shri Mataji on this topic and by doing so I learn more about it and stop my mind from wandering further. Love "It is said that God is love , you have heard that many a times and many people have explained in their own ways what is love , but to feel that love is the best way of understanding it. Even if you explain or describe in all details, though it is described in all detail, you cannot enjoy love without experiencing it. This experience comes to us because God himself has placed within us the mechanism to absorb this love and to manifest it. It is a very delicate mechanism within us, extremely delicate. This mechanism is placed in our heart and ...

Praises to Shri Mataji

Our Mother of the Universe Your love permeates and wraps us in warm embrace You pick us up when we fall You wipe our tears with cool vibrations You protect us from all evil You keep us in Your heart and every cell of Your body. Your smile opens our heart, Your glance strengthens our faith. We are blessed to be in the arms of the Creator of the Universe.

Praises for Shri Mataji

I didn't know this is so tough.  All this while I have been praying to Shri Mataji, asking the Divine to give me Her blessings, talked to Her about my problems and thanked Her for Her blessings and protection but I have never praised Her. Then someone asked me to write praises to Shri Mataji, which will be put together in a card to be given to Her and I have to come up with praises within 2 days. I didn't know what are praises to start off.  Went online to find out words of praises, asked another Sahaja Yogi what are praises and finally prayed to Shri Mataji hopefully I can come up with praises that She will be please. So, finally it's done.  I won't tell what they are yet. That makes me realise that I have been very selfish and all the while just asking from Divine and seldom gives back.  This is basically how I run my life, I suppose and Shri Mataji opened my eyes to show me to appreciate Her and appreciate everything in my life. Thank You!

Sahaj Music

I have never written in my blog about my personal experience with Sahaj Music.   Lat started teaching us Sahaj Music in early 2002.  She had learnt it from Dr. Arun Apte for 6 months in 1998 in the Nagpur Music Academy, India.  To be honest, before learning Sahaj Music, I remembered someone gave me a music CD by Dr. Arun Apte on Ragas and I just could not appreciate it.  I find that the music was too noisy and distracting.  I only listened to it once and then gave up. When I started to learn Sahaj Music, I began to appreciate Indian Classical Music which is the basis that is used in Sahaj Music.   I began to understand myself a bit more through music and find out about my chakras, which one catch most and which is weak.  I find music is the best medium to understand anything, for me that is because I love music and I find music is in-built in me.  I always have a song singing in my head or a rhythm playing in my ears.  It's very...

Why is it the grass is always greener on the other side? Why is it that every cloud has a silver lining but I can't see or find that cloud?

It's starting to sound depressing. I started blogging in 2005 (maybe even earlier).  It was an anonymous blog as I did not want anyone to know that it was me who was writing.  It was full of unhappy posts, complaining about life and it became a very depressing blog.  The reason why I started the blog was because I wanted to vent my frustrations.  Since I cannot do it in real life (no one knows I was depressed), I needed an outlet.  Some of you who have been following my blog will asked, "2005?  You are already a Sahaja Yogi since 2000.  Why depressed in 2005?" You know how a caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly?  The metamorphosis of life?  How the caterpillar goes into the cocoon and later the butterfly will need to break the cocoon (I think) before it can come out and fly?  Yup, I was going through that process of finding myself through Sahaja Yoga.  There were layers that I needed to shed before finding my spirit...
